There are several ways available for you to vote in each election, including Early in-person voting, Absentee voting and Election Day in-person voting.
Early voting in Michigan
Michigan voters have the right to cast a ballot early and in person at an early voting site before Election Day.
Early voting will be available beginning with the presidential primary in 2024 and every statewide and federal election thereafter.
Voting by Mail in Michigan (Absentee Voting)
All registered voters in Michigan have the right to vote by mail using an absentee ballot delivered to their home. Voters can also request an absentee ballot directly from their local clerk’s office. Absentee ballots are available beginning 40 days prior to every election.
Michigan voters can now join the permanent absentee ballot list by checking a box on the application to receive an absentee ballot for every election.
